Advanced Practice Provider Toolkits

Advanced Practice Providers (APP) such as Physician Assistants (PAs) and Nurse Practitioners (NPs) are professionals trained, certified, and licensed to perform such functions as physical examination, history taking, diagnosis, and treatment of commonly encountered medical problems under the supervision of a licensed physician. In this way, they may be said to extend the physician’s capacity to provide care.
