WHAT ARE THE QUALIFICATIONS OF UNLICENSED Healthcare PERSONNEL?

The term most often used to describe unlicensed healthcare personnel is “medical assistant,” a title that applies to various levels of training and competency. According to the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), medical assistants are cross-trained to perform administrative and clinical duties. They mainly work alongside physicians and providers in outpatient or ambulatory centers, including medical offices and clinics. The duties of medical assistants vary from office to office, depending on office location, size, and specialty.
