Physicians must actively submit their information there to receive funds from the program. Only providers who already have received payments from the fund are eligible for these additional payments. The COVID-19 Uninsured Program Portal, which providers can use to request reimbursement for care of the uninsured via the fund and enroll as a provider participant, also is now live. Finally, CMS has also announced that it is suspending the Accelerated and Advance Payments Program for Part B suppliers, including physicians and non-physician practitioners. CMS previously had approved almost 24,000 applications advancing $40.4 billion in payments to Part B suppliers. CMS stated that the decision to suspend the program was made in light of the $175 billion that has been recently appropriated for health care provider relief payments. News & Knowledge All Curi recommendations are based on current CDC criteria at the time of publication. CDC guidance for SARS-CoV-2 infection may, or may not, be adopted by state and local health departments to respond to rapidly changing local circumstances. Providers should always check with their local health department to see if the CDC’s guidance on any given topic has been modified (particularly if more restrictive) from the CDC’s recommended guidelines. Follow this link https://www.cdc.gov/publichealthgateway/healthdirectories/index.html for contact information to your state/local health department. If local recommendations vary from those of the CDC, and you are unsure what recommendations to follow, then it is safer to follow the more restrictive guidelines/recommendations.
