Webinar: “Riding the Wave of Change in Health Services Delivery & Finance to Benefit Rural Populations”

In November 2024, Keith J. Mueller, Ph.D., Gerhard Hartman Professor in Health Management and Policy in the College of Public Health at the University of Iowa, presented a new webinar in Curi’s Health Equity series on “Riding the Wave of Change in Health Services Delivery & Finance to Benefit Rural Populations.” A recording of his presentation is embedded below.

During this session, Dr. Mueller focused on addressing rural health disparities. His presentation explored how to:

  • Prepare healthcare teams for a future of value-based payment
  • Develop a strategy to meet needs of hard-to-serve populations
  • Participate in broad-based strategies to transform rural health services delivery and finance
  • Monitor developments in health policy that may help or hinder efforts to improve access to local services in rural areas
