News & Knowledge Webinar: “The Intersection of Mental Health & Health Equity: A Fireside Chat with Dr. Jerome Adams” On August 2, 2023, Dr. Jerome Adams, the 20th U.S. Surgeon General and former Indiana State Health Commissioner, presented a new webinar in Curi’s Health Equity series on “The Intersection of Mental Health & Health Equity.” During this session, Dr. Adams explored the current state of mental health in the U.S., along with tangible solutions for providers to implement in their practices. Dr. Adams helped listeners: Describe the current state of mental health in the U.S. Summarize the inequities in care and treatment that communities at higher risk for mental health conditions experience.
