Webinar: “Creating Health Equity & Justice in Reproductive Health”

On January 18, 2023, Dr. Madeline Sutton, Assistant Professor for the Morehouse School of Medicine and Founder and CEO of OneBrain Health, presented a new webinar in Curi’s Health Equity series on “Creating Health Equity & Justice in Reproductive Health.”

During this session, Dr. Sutton reviewed the historical context of systemic racism in reproductive health and reflected on current disparities data as a way to explore what healthcare providers—particularly OB/GYNs and primary care providers—can do to move toward health equity today. Dr. Sutton helped listeners:

  1. Explore the historical context of racial/ethnic disparities in reproductive health and how it relates to systemic racism in healthcare overall
  2. Discuss racial/ethnic gaps in common reproductive health measures
  3. List three action steps that you can implement to help improve reproductive health outcomes

A recording of the webinar is embedded below. The webinar slides can be accessed here.
