Contacting Claims

At Curi, defending the reputation of our physicians is at the core of everything we do. Our claims team is unwavering in its commitment to advocacy, going to extraordinary lengths to protect our physicians’ professional reputation. Should you be faced with an incident, claim, or lawsuit, contact us.

WHEN

  • You are served with a lawsuit or receive a letter from an attorney
  • You receive a complaint letter from a patient or their family
  • A patient or family member threatens a lawsuit or other action
  • You receive a request to give deposition or trail testimony in a medical malpractice case

WHY

  • Lawsuits are time sensitive, and we only have a certain number of days to assign defense counsel and file an answer
  • It is important to report a matter as soon as possible so we can do a timely review of coverage

HOW

  • Call 800-328-5532 or email your Curi Claims Consultant directly
  • Email documents (lawsuit, claim letter) to your Curi Claims Consultant
  • For easy reporting and quick response, complete our online form

Policy Information

Here, you’ll see a menu of all your membership resources and account-specific features including:

Loss Run and Credentialing Reports

You can request:

  • Claims credentialing report (generally for hospital or practice use) – evidence of malpractice dates of coverage, limits, and claims history
  • Loss run report (generally for agent or provider use) – includes policy number and term and claims history and status

Designed with you in mind, curi.com is your central place to access your client portal, locate resources, and connect with your Curi team. Let’s explore a couple of the key pages and functions.

  • Client sign-in: Select Curi Insurance and enter your credentials or complete the registration process.
  • Risk Resources: Although accessible from your client portal, you can also find our multi-chapter Risk Management Guide, CME opportunities, toolkits, a host of webinars, and more in the News & Knowledge section of our site. Please note client login is required to access the resources shown.
  • Pay Premium area: You can easily access your payment method options by selecting your policy insurer on the payment page. If you are unsure who issues your policy, there is a look-up tool at the top of the page.
  • For easy reporting of an unexpected outcome, claim, or lawsuit, complete our online Incident Report Form for a quick response.
  • Get answers and in touch with us: our Insurance FAQs provide detailed responses to commonly asked questions (from coverage types, claims, and payment process, to policy management.) If you have specific questions, use our contact form for an easy-to-use platform and a quick response.
