Evidence suggests that coaching for physicians can improve well-being and reduce symptoms of burnout and distress. However, many physicians and other healthcare workers are unfamiliar with coaching or with other cognitive behavioral tools that can be utilized strategically to navigate times of stress or turmoil. This workshop is a beginner’s introduction to thought work and select self-coaching tools that anyone can apply and practice in the context of litigation or other significant stressors. Dr. Pensa utilizes these techniques and tools with her own physician clients in helping them manage litigation stress, and in preparing them for deposition or trial.
