September 30, 2021 3:59 pm COVID-19 Vaccines Curi Updates COVID-19 Resources to Reflect Vaccine Booster Approval Curi has updated our COVID-19 vaccine consent forms to reflect the FDA’s emergency use authorization last week of a single booster dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine for people over 65 and certain other high-risk populations. The forms are available in English and Spanish. The Curi team has also created a new consent form for COVID-19 monoclonal antibody treatment (prophylaxis), available here, as well as a consent form for influenza vaccine (in English and Spanish)—especially vital this year when it is important to limit the flu’s impact on the already-strained health system. SHARE Back All Curi recommendations are based on current CDC criteria at the time of publication. CDC guidance for SARS-CoV-2 infection may, or may not, be adopted by state and local health departments to respond to rapidly changing local circumstances. Providers should always check with their local health department to see if the CDC’s guidance on any given topic has been modified (particularly if more restrictive) from the CDC’s recommended guidelines. Follow this link https://www.cdc.gov/publichealthgateway/healthdirectories/index.html for contact information to your state/local health department. If local recommendations vary from those of the CDC, and you are unsure what recommendations to follow, then it is safer to follow the more restrictive guidelines/recommendations.
