May 27, 2021 12:59 pm CDC Alerts Providers to Myocarditis Cases After COVID-19 Vaccinations A working group of the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices last week reported several mostly mild cases of myocarditis in patients who have received COVID-19 mRNA vaccines (Moderna or Pfizer). CDC said the incidence of myocarditis does not differ from expected baseline rates but encouraged providers to be aware of this possibility and report any cases of myocarditis within two weeks of COVID-19 vaccination to the Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System.
