Letter From The CEO

The View at Mid-Year

Jason Sandner reflects on Curi’s progress for our members.

Dear member,

Welcome to the summer issue of The Curator, Curi’s member newsletter. We’re pleased to offer you updates about your company and how we can serve you, along with a look at external trends that could affect your work and your practice’s operations.

Writing this introduction is a bittersweet moment for me. While I’m excited to share these articles, this is the first issue that doesn’t begin with a note from Dale Jenkins, who served for decades as Curi’s CEO until his retirement earlier this summer. I’ve learned an immense amount from Dale in my ten years with the company, and I feel privileged to get to apply those lessons now as CEO.

More than halfway through the year now, I am pleased to report that the Curi team is working hard for you—and bringing results. Our performance across all business lines has produced positive trendlines, and we’re poised to deliver quite strong strategic outcomes as we continue to reinvest into our mission of helping physicians in medicine, business and life. The addition of Arrowlytics to our advisory capabilities reflects the types of investments that we hope to continue making into the business of healthcare, all aimed at providing resources to help independent practices thrive. The external environment remains challenging, but we’re as well-positioned as ever to support you.

Speaking of the external environment, I hope you’ll take a look at our cover story about how staffing shortages are challenging practices across the country—and what you can do to weather this crisis. We also share our 2020 Annual Report; have an introduction to our new Curi Insurance COO, Brad Diericx; and many other stories.

Thank you for reading. I hope to have the chance to interact with you soon.

Best,

Jason Sandner
