The Role

We’re looking for a clinical professional with risk management experience to work in our Risk Management Department as a Senior Risk Manager. Reporting to the Director, Clinical Risk Management and Patient Safety, you will be responsible for supporting members through the development of clinical risk management relationships and consultative support. In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide risk advice to both members and internal company associates; conduct risk assessments, including desktop consultation, serving as consultative resource to medical practice personnel; develop scalable client-ready resources; and present on relevant topics to providers and their employees.

You will also proactively support the achievement of the Risk Management business plan, including the research of healthcare risk management issues to support company and department initiatives, upholding vigilance on current trends in healthcare that could affect Curi members. You will work collaboratively with our Risk Management team members as well as other department associates to optimize services to our members and prospective members.


  • Organize, plan, and execute risk assessments to identify medical malpractice risk exposures in the medical practice setting
  • Conduct reassessment follow-up after initial risk assessment
  • Develop and facilitate educational sessions for medical practices, local groups, and statewide associations
  • Create new polices, consent forms, and office procedures for medical practices
  • Design, test, and implement new risk assessment tools and processes
  • Serve as project lead on assigned office-based risk management projects
  • Generate client-ready documents based on project research
  • Serve as a resource for providing internal and external customer support
  • Perform all other duties as assigned


  • Experience with handling complex issues regarding clinical care and practice management

Experience in a medical professional liability company, a medical practice, enterprise network system or hospital setting is a plus

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  • 10 years of related experience
  • Prior risk management experience
  • Experience preparing and presenting healthcare educational offerings

Preferred Education and Experience

Master’s degree in health-related discipline

  • Licensed healthcare professional or JD
  • Valid driver’s license required
