Senior Developer – Business Intelligence

The Role

We’re looking for an analytical thinker and self-driven, team player to join our Operations Innovation Department as a Senior Developer of Business Intelligence. Reporting to the Director of Business Intelligence and Data Management, you will be responsible for leveraging subject-matter and technical expertise on initiatives that align with the overall business intelligence and data management vision. You will develop and execute strategic roadmaps to promote the growth and development of our business intelligence platform using Microsoft Power BI, Business Objects 4.x Enterprise, and other analytics tools. In addition, you will lead data management initiatives related to governance, metadata, and data quality. In this role, you will work closely with Business Data Stewards throughout the organization as well as members of the IT Team on data-related initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide mentorship to others and share subject-matter expertise
  • Develop strategic project plans and roadmaps that align to Curi’s business intelligence and data management vision
  • Work closely with IT Data Services to validate data and ensure data architecture meets business needs
  • Leverage advanced data architecture, dashboard development, report development, and/or data management skills to progress business intelligence and data management function
  • Collaborate closely with Business Data Stewards to design, build, and manage complex reports and dashboards
  • Manage data request intake processes to ensure Business Data Stewards, Business Intelligence, and IT are aligned on priorities
  • Collaborate closely with Business Data Stewards and IT to design, build, and manage data quality logic and dashboards over critical data elements

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite 

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • Demonstrated expertise using Microsoft Power BI, including Power Query and DAX
  • A Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of direct work experience in a Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or Data Management role or equivalent experience required
  • 4 years of experience working with relational databases, data warehousing, and data transformation tools
  • Proficient SQL querying experience
