Business Project and Process Manager

The Role

We’re looking for an analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills to join our Operations Innovation Department as a Business Project and Process Manager. Reporting to the Director, Operations Innovation, you will be responsible for studying current business processes and developing new methods to improve productivity, increase customer satisfaction, and reduce operational costs. You will also be responsible for mapping existing workflows and recommending changes that align with the way Curi operates to help achieve long-term performance goals.


  • Organize, lead, and facilitate process design and re-engineering initiatives that will encompass an end-to-end analysis and future state redesign
  • Manage multiple significant operational projects at a time from initiation to closeout
  • Work directly with IT on recommended system changes
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders
  • Develop project plans to monitor and track progress
  • Work with key business partners and stakeholders to identify current process loopholes, assess the impact of issues identified, and develop a plan or solution to address the issues
  • Conduct interviews to gather customer requirements via workshops, questionnaires, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods
  • Identify and prioritize meaningful process improvements, including recommending automation when applicable
  • Define metrics that measure process improvement success
  • Work with project manager(s) and sponsors to ensure Six Sigma/LEAN activities, deliverables, and tools are integrated in the project plan when appropriate
  • Effectively design, communicate, and manage process improvements and process reengineering projects
  • Continually build cross-functional business operations acumen to elevate process improvement recommendations and project management
  • Learn corporate applications as necessary to fully support the business

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of work experience in process engineering and project management
  • Insurance, healthcare, and/or financial industry experience
  • Experience organizing, presenting, and analyzing data
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficiency using process mapping tools such as Lucid Chart, Visio, and/or Business Process Management Tool

Preferred Education and Experience

  • PMP certification
  • Familiarity with programming languages such SQL
  • Lean/Six Sigma Certification
