IT Support Technician

The Role

We’re looking for a self-motivated, customer-focused individual to work in our IT Department as an IT Support Technician. Reporting to the Manager of User Support Services, you will be responsible for responding to and resolving user technical issues via chat, email, or phone in a friendly and prompt manner. This position is an excellent opportunity for someone wanting to start their career in the IT industry. You will be the first point of contact for Curi users requiring technical assistance, covering a wide range of IT questions, support, and end-user training.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to and resolve user technical issues via chat, email, or phone
  • Help with documentation of new and existing policies/procedures
  • Collaborate with others who may have varying skillsets to complete assigned work on time
  • Easily adapt to changes based on organizational priority
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair operating systems, software applications, hardware, and related equipment
  • Create, maintain, and deploy laptop images

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  •  0-2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Available to occasionally work on-call / after hours (rotating schedule)
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems
  • Reliable transportation for commuting to Raleigh Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Associates Degree with an IT focus or completion of a Trade School program

Preferred Education and Experience

  • A+, Microsoft certification or equivalent preferred
