The Role 

We’re looking for a passionate, creative, and hands-on professional to join our Operations Innovation team as a Business Intelligence & Data Manager. In this role, you will collaborate with all areas of the company to create and implement Curi’s business intelligence (BI) platform from the ground up. Drawing from your understanding of accurate, concise, and business-focused representations of data, you will develop relevant and timely visualizations, reports, and dashboards. The ideal candidate will architect meaningful, actionable analytical insights and solutions that directly influence our organization’s decision making and success.


  • Create and implement Curi’s BI Roadmap
  • Work closely with all areas of the company (e.g., IT, department-specific data analysts, senior leadership), to
    • Gather requirements
    • Architect meaningful solutions
    • Communicate clear, concise objectives
    • Develop relevant and timely visualizations, reports, and dashboards
  • Support the business’s ability to refine and document processes and implement governance models around business intelligence (BI) systems and data


  • Experience and/or certification (Green Belt+) in Process Improvement
  • Exposure to software development lifecycle methodologies, such as Agile and Waterfall
  • Experience using Business Objects, Crystal Reports, or SQL
  • Experience in the insurance and/or financial industry


  • 7+ years in BI development and/or management
  • A bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, preferably in Computer Science, Statistics, or related discipline
  • Demonstrated expertise in design, development, and implementation of successful intelligence and data analytics programs
  • Expertise with BI systems and reporting tools, such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of database theory and practice, database structures, and query languages and concepts
  • Strong organization, communication, problem solving, and analytical skills
  • Small- to mid-size project-management experience
