The federal Department of Health and Human Services has extended the deadline to apply for Phase 2 General Distribution Funding through the CARES Act Provider Relief Fund, to Sept. 13. HHS had previously set Aug. 28 as the deadline. Eligible providers include those who serve Medicaid and/or CHIP beneficiaries, including those who also treat some Medicare beneficiaries and had not applied for earlier supplemental funding.
